Dental Veneers and Lumineers

DENTAL VENEERS

Dental veneers are very thin porcelain shells that are bonded to the surface of the teeth to change their length, shape, color or size. They are often an ideal solution for teeth that are broken or chipped, worn down, discolored, misaligned, irregularly shaped or uneven. Dental veneers can change your appearance, boost your self-confidence and give you the smile you’ve always dreamed of!

To prepare your tooth for a dental veneer, your DC Dental Spa dentist will remove a very small amount of enamel from the surface of the tooth. Next, an impression or model of the tooth is made, and the veneers are custom-made to match the color and look of your natural teeth.

Once the custom-made veneer is ready, your DC Dental Spa dentist will examine its color and fit and trim the veneer to ensure it is comfortable and attractive. Your natural tooth will be cleaned, polished and gently etched to facilitate the bonding process. Next, a special cement will be applied to the veneer, which is then placed on your natural tooth. After the dentist properly positions the veneer, a special light is applied to it to cure the cement. Finally, the dentist will evaluate your bite and complete any necessary final adjustments.

I FEEL AMAZING. I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I SAW WHAT MY TEETH LOOKED LIKE WHEN THE PROCEDURE WAS DONE. WOW! DR. HOANG AND HIS STAFF REALLY OUTDID THEMSELVES. EVERY DAY, I FEEL LIKE I’M SEEING A YOUNGER, BETTER VERSION OF MYSELF.

Dental veneers are a natural-looking solution to many dental problems, and the porcelain material is long-lasting and stain resistant. Dental veneers are less invasive than many other treatment options, and they do not require extensive alterations to your natural teeth.

With proper care that includes regular brushing, flossing and dental check ups, veneers can last for years. Following good oral hygiene practices is important to keeping your veneers looking great, but they do not require any special care.

LUMINEERS

Beautiful smile. Beautiful you. Transform your entire appearance painlessly. Lumineers are designed to deliver a beautiful result with a Simple, Painless Process.

Lumineers offer a stronger, thinner veneer option for patients who need to restore the look of their smile. DC Dental Spa is fully certified in Lumineer application. Many patients who come to us for veneers are pleased to find they can have this easier, less invasive option.

These veneers can help with a variety of cosmetic issues. They can be used to fixed gaps between teeth, adjust the look of teeth that slope inward, or improve the look of teeth that are too small. There is no pain or discomfort when they are applied, so patients can return to their normal activities as soon as they complete their visit

Lumineers benefit patients in many ways. First, they are stronger than traditional veneers, which mean fewer necessary corrections once they are placed. They are also thinner, about as thick as a contact lens.
Because of the way they are applied, which requires no change to the existing tooth, these veneers can be reversed if need be. They require no drilling for attachment and can be placed around or over existing dental work. This less invasive procedure also means they cost less than traditional veneers.
